I was extremely fortunate to visit the breath taking Virunga Mountains, to trek for Mountain Gorillas, in December 2000. After an exhausting 2.5 hour trek to find these awesome creatures, we discovered a group of approx. 10 gorillas nest making. I then spent one of the most incredible hours of my entire life observing these truly incredible creatures. A most humbling experience that left me in tears and one that I shall cherish forever.
